Vertical Jump Bible Kelly Bagget Performance Consultant Harrison, AR International You may have noticed that the vertical jump bible ranks pretty highly, and theres no secret why. The author of this program knows his stuff, and this is quite a good buy. It's equipped with loads of facts and comes with multiple programs, which is the key to a complete vertical leap package. There are weight routines, plyometric routines and combinations of them both. It also goes a bit into customizing, by determining which program you should be starting on. The programs are roughly 16 weeks long and use a large variety of exercises. The workouts are actually quite enjoyable. We also found that with some basic equipment, alot of it could actually be done at home. It comes with two pretty good bonuses, Body Comp Basics & The Mental Advantage. If your after a program which actually sets you in the right path, without the price tag of Vertical Project, then this is your answer. The Gaurantee:If your not absolutely thrilled when you get the vertical bible, for any reason, you can return it within 90days, risk free, money back.

I have had the program for around 2 months now and have gained around 4 inches (not that bad considering I injured myself 2 weeks in) I would recommend this to anyone, as it's packed with about 200 pages of information (all of it good information,)it has recovery tips, all about how the body works, the types of muscle fibre and espcially the diets. It also includes many different programs for the begginer to the experienced athlete, if you have access to a gym or not. Go and get it! Thanks for reading, Josh. | | | Comment added on: Thu 13 Apr 2006 I needed something that was effective but didn't cost $200. I found the Vertical Jump Bible and bought it to try it out. It did not dissapoint me. I gained over 4 inches in just 1 month of training. Added to that I wasn't even able to train for a few weeks in between that month. Not only was it effective but I also learned a lot about jumping. The Vertical Jump Bible costs 6 times less than The Vertical Project!!! The Vertical Project is supposed to be better than the Vertical Jump Bible but no way is it 6 times better. For me the Vertical Jump Bible is the best because I don't have easy access to a gym and don't want to take supplements such as creatine. If you are a young athlete like me then you want The Vertical Jump Bible is it for you. You are too young to drive so the access to a gym can be hard, you probably shouldn't be taking supplements at such a young age, and what kind of kid has $247 to spend? -Brendan | | | Comment added on: Thu 27 Apr 2006 An excellent book, weights routines have a real focus on increasing power. If you do all the programs from beginner to advanced, you'll be at it for a while. There's about 11 programs in there, weights, plyometrics and combined. There's also lot of interesting info in there that EVERT athlete should know. Learn why you should squat ALL THE WAY DOWN and how. I wish I would have gotten this before I started off trying to increase my vertical. I'd probably have a standing 30 inch verrtical right now and be injury free. The Vertical Project looks mighty interesting too, but when I think about it, I'm really happy I got the VJB for its price. Oh yeah... I've gained about 9 centimeters in 4 weeks on the intermediate plyos program twice a week alone, and learnt something i wish i had a long time ago - RECOVERY IS KEY | | | Comment added on: Thu 04 May 2006 I have both the Vertical Jump Development Bible and the Vertical Project. I have used both programs from start to finish, and I would only recommend the Vertical Jump Development Bible to anyone I cared about. It is that superior, period. If the prices were reversed, I would still recommend the Bible over the Project. The information in the Bible is solid. The nutrition info is better. The workouts are based on science and experience. There are workouts for everyone - from someone who has never touched weights, to the elite level athlete, to people who don't even have access to weights.
For ease of understanding and application, and to get the results you want/need, there is nothing I have seen that is better than the Vertical Jump Development Bible. | bboss99 | Comment added on: Sun 25 Jun 2006 it's good | | | Comment added on: Thu 27 Jul 2006 Before starting the Intermediate Plyometrics program in VJB my standing vert was about 28". So far im in Phase 2 Week2 and i already added approximately 6"!!! I can now touch a rim -Charlie7thPick | | | Comment added on: Fri 28 Jul 2006 its great | | deolm | Comment added on: Mon 28 Aug 2006 I also have both the Vertical Jump Bible and the Vertical Project and fully agree that the VJB is way better than the VP. I was very dissapointed with the VP so I bought the VJB in hope that it would give me the results I was after. It sure did. I added about 3 inches after the first 3 or 4 weeks! The part I was most happy with was the fact that you didnt need hardly any equipment or supplements to get results like you do with the VP. Also, it gave over 100 pages of quality information which is both interesting and enjoyable to read. It is not just 400 pages of boring crap like the VP.
I would definately recommend this to anyone who seriously wants to add inches to their vertical, but doesnt have alot of time, money and equipment to do so. | Bosko Sukovic | Comment added on: Wed 13 Dec 2006 The main thing that you need to realize about the Vj bible, is that it is a NO-Bullcrap product, coming from a man that has spent a large part of his liferesearching development of various performance qualities, and along the way breaking down the "secrets" of developing a tremendous vertical jump.So he did it, and the result - is this book. One of the main features of the VJ bible, and this is INDIVIDUALITY- No two men/women or athletes are the same, and so the means for increasing their vertical jump can also be drastically different, all of which you'll learn about if you read this book.
People differ in the way they are built, what kind of training history they have, how strong they are relative to their bodyweight, how plyometrically efficient they are, etc..etc.. When you read the book, and test yourself, you will find out what can YOU do to improve YOUR vertical jump.
By targeting YOUR own weaknesses, you can now choose one of the many programs included, that would best work with your profile at this point.
The other thing I'd like to emphasize is that once you finish your first program, you will not stall out, like when using other programs, because Kelly Baggett, shows you how to progress consistently.
More than just a bunch of programs, that are probably the best programs for developing the vertical jump, ever written, the whole book will change your way of thinking about developing yourself as an athlete, and can teach you to listen to your body, make right decisions about your training, and progress consistently.
You will also find out much about the central nervous system, recovery, proper warming up for athletic performance and strength training, different styles of jumping, jumping technique, and get answers to many other miscellaneous question you may have about the vertical jump, including the author's personal story and how he improved his vertical from 23 to 42".
The author himself says - that it isn't so much important what he did, as it is how much of that, and other accumulated knowledge that he gained throughout years of studying, researching and coaching others, can he pass on to the likes of you and me.
Instead of babbling more myself, I suggest you check out the authors site, and see for yourself what the author says about the vj bible. As a reader, I can say that every word is true. The people at higher-faster-sports indeed are honest, truthful and ’up front' with you, and always willing to help out no matter who you are, or what your situations is. Kelly and/or his colleagues have always been there for me. As my training progressed,I could always ask them and they'd give me fresh advice on what to do now,and how to do it.

| Comment added on: Fri 29 Jun 2007 This program is the best workout I've ever had, and the best jump program ever. I've completed 3 weeks on the novice weights+plyometrics and I've gained at least 2 inches and im getting significantly stronger. Thats something because I've been training my vertical with plyometrics and weights for years. I can't wait to start with the other programs. I recommend this program to anybody from beginners to advanced athletes. | Sysonpyh | Comment added on: Tue 10 Jul 2007 Hi!
